Scribe, along with the creative ways of his wife Alisa pounded out an entire bunch of 3 inch Dunnys depicting life in contemporary Hawai'i, some of which are based on traditions. One important tradition in Hawai'i is the art of hula. Traditional hula were and are danced by men. This particular dancer painted head to toe by Scribe comes with Alisa's accented yellow 'olena (turmeric) malo (loin cloth), laua'e (type of tropical fern lei po'o (leaf head garland) and matchstick torches to light up the evening's festivities (not to be confused with Samoan style fire knife dancing).
